Background
Francisco Carvalho is the General and Innovation Coordinator at the Landscape Laboratory since 2023. Francisco holds a Ph.D. in Molecular and Environmental Biology, specialization in Biodiversity, Ecology and evolution (2024), a Master’s degree in Ecology (2014) and Bachelor’s degree in Applied Biology (2011), all from the University of Minho.
Research Interests
Throughout his professional journey, he has been involved in various scientific projects related to freshwater ecosystem conservation, biodiversity, and ecosystem functioning. His background also underscores interests in capacity building, citizen science, promoting sustainability and advancing the circular economy, seamlessly integrating environmental, societal and economic perspectives.
