Abstract

In the scope of this project, we aim to engineer functional biopolymers composed of a structural component (SELP) and a bioactive peptide, LIF or OSM. Previous work by team members already demonstrated the production and processing by electrospinning of bioactive recombinant SELPs , as well as the production of films composed of genetically engineered ELPs combined with antimicrobial peptide.
