Cláudia Carvalho Santos
Background
Cláudia Carvalho-Santos got a bachelor in Geography (2004), a master in Ecology and Environment (2009), and a PhD in Biodiversity and Evolution (2014), all from the University of Porto. During her MSc and PhD, she spent three years at the Wageningen University, Netherlands. Since 2015 she is working as a Researcher, having passed in the University of Aveiro, University of Porto and since 2018 she is Assistant Researcher at CBMA.
Research Interests
Cláudia Carvalho-Santos develops research in the areas of water and soil resources, hydrological modelling, valuation of ecosystems services, and biodiversity, under scenarios of global change. As both geographer and ecologist, she has a vision of confluence between biophysical and social sciences, with mixed perspectives and the domain of different methodologies, from biophysical modelling to social data analysis.
