Qualifications

Postdoc at the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology of Princeton University. Previously, PhD Student at INESC-ID & Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon (2014-2018). Supervised by Jorge M. Pacheco (University of Minho & CBMA), Francisco C. Santos (IST, University of Lisbon) and Ana Paiva (IST, University of Lisbon).

Research

My research work is focused on the development of computational models to simulate and understand collective dynamics, specifically in what concerns the evolution of non-trivial behaviors such as cooperation and fairness. At the moment, I am concerned with 1) the role played by social norms and reputation systems in the evolution of cooperation; 2) the emergence of fairness in games involving groups and 3) the dynamics of strategic interactions that involve multiple sectors of a society.
