Janeide Padilha received her PhD degree in 2021 at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in exchange at the University of Liege in Belgium, with the project "Resident and migratory birds as sentinels of the contamination of Antarctica by organic and inorganic pollutants". She has experience in the field of ecotoxicology, in the measurement of heavy metals, POPs, PFAAs, and stable isotopes in organic and inorganic matrices from the Brazilian coast, Patagonia, and Antarctica.
