New yeast discovered in grapes with potential to produce biomass and lipids

A team led by Ricardo Franco-Duarte, from CBMA, found a new species of yeast in grapes in the Azores, with potential for the production of biomass and lipids. It is called “Clavispora santaluciae” and the discovery has just been published in the prestigious “International Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology”.
