CBMA team discovers enzyme with potential for biofuels and pharmaceuticals

A team, led by Björn Johansson from CBMA, discovered an enzyme that degrades one of the most abundant sugars in nature, with potential in the production of biofuels and molecules with pharmacological interests. The research has just been published in Scientific Reports journal, from the Nature group publications.
