CBMA joins the EuroMarine European network

CBMA secures a new level of international recognition in marine sciences

The Centre of Molecular and Environmental Biology (CBMA) at the University of Minho has joined EuroMarine, one of Europe’s leading marine science research networks, strengthening its presence in the international arena.

This membership represents a strategic step for CBMA, fostering international cooperation, participation in European projects, and the development of joint initiatives in areas such as marine biodiversity, climate change, and ecosystem sustainability, in connection with CBMA’s strategic initiatives such as IB-S (Institute for Bio-Sustainability).

Researchers Marcos Rubal and Sofia Duarte, whose work is closely linked to marine sciences, will play a particularly important role in liaising with the network.

Joining EuroMarine opens new opportunities for researchers and students, contributing to the international visibility of CBMA and the University of Minho and reinforcing marine science research.

A press release was issued on this matter (in portuguese).
