Announcement for the opening of an international selection tender procedure for the hiring of a doctoral researcher under the legal regime of scientific employment in the scope of STrengthS4WineChaiN (NORTE2030-FEDER-01786100)

Project STrengthS4WineChaiN – Scientific and technological synergies for the development of the vine and wine chain in the Northern Region  with support of the Northern Regional Programme 2021-2027 [NORTE2030].

Profile: Recognised Researcher (R2)

Interested candidates wishing to carry out scientific research activities in the scientific area of Biological Sciences, within the scope of the project “STrengthS4WineChaiN – Sinergias científicas e tecnológicas para o desenvolvimento da cadeia da vinha e do vinho na Região Norte”, ref. NORTE2030-FEDER-0178610, financed by the “Programa Regional do Norte 2021-2027 [NORTE2030]”, with a view to the development of R&D activities, namely: to participate in the development and execution of R&D projects and in related scientific and technical activities; monitor the work carried out within the scope of the projects under his/her responsibility; collaborate in the development of training actions within the scope of the R&D methodology; monitor the research work carried out by the scholarship holders, research interns and research assistants and participate in their training.

Requirements:
a) Proven experience in the scientific area of this international selection tender of at least 3 years.
b) Demonstrated experience enabling the fulfilment of the objectives of Task 1.2 – ‘Nature-based technological solutions for the control of grapevine pests and diseases’ of the STrenghtS4WineChaiN project, particularly work aimed at the validation and optimisation of the exogenous application of micropeptides encoded by non-mature microRNAs (miPEPs) under controlled conditions as well as under field conditions. This includes experience in the identification and validation of miPEPs with potential agronomic value, in molecular biology and biochemical techniques, and in the validation of the efficacy of bioactive compounds/biostimulants applied exogenously to grapevine.
