1st ARNET Meeting

On 3–4 July 2025, the University of Minho (Braga) hosts the 1st Meeting of ARNET – Aquatic Research Network, bringing together researchers from CBMA, MARE, and CIMA, the three founding centres of this FCT-funded Associate Laboratory.

The event includes scientific presentations, pitch sessions, and thematic meetings focused on key challenges such as environmental monitoring, emerging risks, biotechnology, and participatory governance.

A highlight of the meeting is the roundtable “Monitor, Assess and Act: Challenges for the Management of Aquatic Systems”, featuring representatives from key institutions involved in environmental management.

ARNET’s mission is to strengthen the link between scientific research, public policy, and territorial action to support the sustainability of aquatic ecosystems.
